With reference to your letter No.2472

of the 16th.ultimo I am directed to acquaint you for the information of Commodore Powell that the Albany Nullah under Queen's road and to the north thereof is vested in

the Colonial Government: but that the Government is wil-

or ling to permit the proposed division' shown in the enclos-

ures to your letter above referred to on the following condition, viz:- that the Naval Authorities will prevent

the accumulation of Silt in the area marked blue on the

accompanying plan by keeping it dredged at their expense

to its present depth, such depth to be ascertained by

Survey.
